About the event
These weekly sessions are perfect for home educating families who want an interactive hour for their children to explore everything about the garden and growing. We will explore parts of a plant, how things grow, what insects are helpful and much more whilst linking to the KS1 and KS2 science curriculum. Each group will have a dedicated growing space so the children can see the progress of the seeds they sow. We will explore a variety of fruits and vegetables and most weeks, bring something home with them. This might be, for example, something they have grown, a recipe, a seedling or a seed bomb.
We will explore lots of key vocabulary through discussion, naming and describing things, labeling, finding objects and stories so be sure that your child will learn lots of new things whilst also having fun and being outdoors. We have a dedicated sheltered space if the rain…
